Amare finished his swim lessons (Mom, Dad, and Me class offered by the City of Hurst for little ones) on Friday. He's been taking them with Daddy every night for the last two weeks between 6pm and 6:30pm. As that's normally the most chaotic time of the day for us, I had been staying home with the babies and preparing dinner so that it was ready when they got home. For the last class, Julius, Adrian, and I decided to go cheer him on! Amare's cheering section--Julius with the striped bib, Adrian with the red bib. They loved watching their big brother!

Amare is so brave--all of the other parents kept talking about how he was the fearless one in the class and that he was such a good swimmer. He had been climbing up the diving board steps, walking the length of the diving board, and jumping off all by himself! He can climb out of the pool by himself. He went down the slide with Daddy. He kicks his legs and is OK to go under water. All pretty good for only 22 months! His instructors said that next summer he could probably skip the Toddler class and move straight to the Swim 1 Class. Move over Phelps!
Here are a few pics!
