A few faves from July 2011

Ah, summer. I used to say that summer was my favorite season--and then I moved to Texas. We are on day #37 of straight 100+ degree days and there is no end in sight to this horrid heat. We are forced to stay inside most days because who wants to "play" in 108 degree heat? Not me. We've managed to have a fun summer so far, however, and here are a few random pics to prove it!
This is what happens when you try to get the boys to sit still for a picture. It's funny--my friends that have girls have pics of their daughters hugging or posing for the camera. Nope, not here! These boys consider photo time equivalent to torture. Mom is so lame for wanting to capture these moments on camera!

This summer was also the summer where the boys have discovered watermelon. It clearly must be eaten outside on the back porch (due to the sticky, messy nature) but they do love it!

Amare is growing up so fast. It's really hard to believe he'll be FOUR in October. Insanity!

Again, I take what I can get as a mom photographer. Thanks for the mean mug, Adrian, and thanks to Julius for showing us your tongue. :)

One of my favorite nights was when the boys were playing Monster with Daddy. Julius wanted to be a Monster too so Daddy took him into our bedroom and they emerged fiercely to attack Amare and Adrian who were shrieking on the couch.

And the boys also discovered their doctor playset. Are these guys cute or what?!?

Every once in a while, the boys like to sit on the kitchen counter. This time it was to play with measuring cups.
