Six Month Appointment

Amare has changed a lot in the last few weeks. He has cut two teeth (bottom front) and I can feel one more just starting to come in up top. He now sits by himself easily and is chowing down on Stage 2 foods--his favorite is applesauce (just like his father). Amare loves to cuddle and also likes to bite anything he can get his mouth on. He loves playing in an old cardboard diaper box and rolls all over the room to get where he wants to go. He has become a horrible sleeper with all of this teething going on. We are trying to figure out how to deal with this--do we comfort him? Let him cry it out? Some hybrid of the two? It's torture each night as it approaches bed time. My heart breaks to see him screaming out, knowing that he'll stop and contently fall asleep the second I pick him up. Is he in pain? Or just being spoiled and only wants to cuddle and get his way? This is the first time Gyasi and I have felt pretty clueless as parents and we're just not sure what to do.

On a different note, we went to Amare's 6 month doc appt. this week where he got four shots. Not a lot of fun and he was giving the death glare the nurse that stuck him with the needles. Here are his stats:

Weight = 18 lbs. (68th percentile)

Height = 27.5 inches (85th percentile)

All is well here--enjoy the new pics and video!
