Well, we survived our trip back east to New Jersey and Pennsylvania! We had a chance to visit with both of our families and friends as well as attend a wedding. It was a whirlwind trip and left me exhausted! Amare met his Pennsylvania aunts, uncles, great grandfather and cousins for the first time on this trip. He went to the shore for the first time and felt the sand and ocean on his toes. He ate NJ pizza for the first time on this trip. He met tons of new friends on this trip. It was a great trip!
Amare is having surgery to get tubes placed in his ears on Monday morning due to his frequent ear infections. While no one wants their baby to have to have surgery, I know it will make his life much better because he suffers when he has these ear aches. He doesn't sleep well and that stresses all of us out. So wish us luck on Monday morning!
Amare took his first steps on 8/11!!! I wish I had captured it on video but I'll have to catch it one of these other times and post it here for all to see. He is SO not into baby food anymore. He only wants what we are eating...so he's been having chicken, potatoes, fruit, toast, etc. He's becoming such a little man!

We will be thinking of you guys tomorrow! We know Amare will do great and be so much happier with tubes. Yeah...you will get a full nights sleep tomorrow night! That is something to be happy about. Love you guys!
