Amare is going to be a big brother! We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting TWO new additions to the Quince family...that's right--TWINS!! To answer a few questions:1) No, they don't run in either of our families!
2) Yes, we were completely shocked and suprised. And then still shocked. And then even more shock. Finally, excitement!
2) Yes, we were completely shocked and suprised. And then still shocked. And then even more shock. Finally, excitement!
3) Yes, we will have three babies under the age of two.
4) Yes, we will have to get a mini van.
5) Yes, we will need help. Please plan on coming down to Texas to assist us this spring!
6) No, we don't know if they are identical or fraternal yet.
7) No, we don't know the genders and won't know for a few more weeks.
8) No, we don't plan on having any more kids after these babies--three kids will complete our family.
9) Yes, we both want to keep working.
10) Yes, we will be broke.
After complete shock (we found out via normal ultrasound at 9 weeks), we are now super excited about this. We went to the doctor today and saw the little ones moving all around--it was pretty amazing. There really are two of them in there. And they are growing perfectly. I am about 12 weeks pregnant now with an official due date of April 3, 2009 but have been told that they will arrive sometime in March.
In other news, we had a great Labor Day holiday in Colorado. We left on 8/28 (Gyasi's birthday and the day we found out we were expecting two babies instead of one) and spent two days in Denver with my Dad and Patti. They have a fabulous place in downtown Denver and we hung out at the pool and went to the zoo. Then on Sunday we headed to Fort Collins to spend time with my brothers and their families. Amare had an awesome time playing with his cousins Colby (7) and Tyson (almost 4).
Many have asked if we were impacted by Hurricane Ike that hit Houston and Galveston pretty bad--no, luckily we just had a lot of rain for two days. It was a little windy but we were definitely spared the damaging weather.

You know Derek and I have ya'lls back with anything...babysitting, advice, shoulder to lean on...etc. The last 13 months have been so much fun with our girls and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
