Status Update--April 2010

Amare #1

Age: 2.5
Height: ?
Weight: Finally putting some meat on his bones
Latest challenge: Potty training.
Likes: M&M’s, his red toy car, rolling the windows down in the car, giving high fives (high five, skin, boom), playing outside, going to the park, teaching his brothers how to do things, locking the doors, pushing the “bubbon” (that’s how he says “button” when he wants to shut the garage door), swimming the bathtub, blowing bubbles, yogurt, pudding.
Dislikes: Shampooing his hair, timeouts, going to bed, having to come inside when he wants to keep playing outside.

Julius #2

Age: 13 months
Height: 31.5 inches
Weight: 21lbs 6oz
Latest challenge: Walking (he is also working on standing up from a seated position without holding on to anything), using a spoon
Likes: His brothers, Sesame Street, splashing in the bathtub, throwing balls, throwing food on the floor, chicken nuggets, oatmeal, milk in a sippy cup, grilled cheese sandwiches, having his teeth brushed, throwing all of his crib toys/blankets on the floor.
Dislikes: Not getting his way (he throws himself to the floor in dramatic fashion and cries pathetically), ear infections, teething, Amare getting too rough.

Adrian #3

Age: 13 months
Height: 31.0 inches
Weight: 21lbs 2oz
Latest challenge: Talking, walking
Likes: The sound of his own voice, strawberries, pretty much all foods (we haven’t found a food he won’t eat), playing school on the wall (he points to it as if he’s the teacher and says “A” like he’s teaching the alphabet), blowing bubbles in the bathtub, spitting out his applesauce/yogurt/pudding
Dislikes: Anything Amare does that annoys him (he gets mad and has a temper), being told “no”
